Frank A. Geiger in PPAI Hall of Fame

Geiger in The News

Frank Geiger Hall of Fame Induction
On January 13, 2004 Frank A. Geiger was inducted into PPAI's Hall of Fame. He is the third member of the Geiger family group to be so honored. No other firm has such a representation in the industry's most prestigious body.

Peter and Gene Geiger accepted the award that evening. Here are their acceptance remarks.
100 years ago the ideas of the Wright brothers and a small group of advertising product makers took flight. We suspect both were little noticed at the time. We are sure both would be impressed with how far we've come!

Our grandfather, Frank, was there at the very beginning of our association, then known as the National Association of Advertising Specialty Novelty Manufacturers. He supported it in leadership roles for over 40 years, including 20 years as a Board member, 2 years as Secretary, 2 years as President, and 10 years as Treasurer. In fact, he never missed a convention until 1944, the year he died.

Continual, active participation from 1903 to 1944. That type of commitment inspires and influences us today. We never knew him, but we grew up with values that carried his mark.

Frank Geiger believed in service to others--and in people working together for the common good. We nurture that ideal in our company's culture to this day. We believe deeply that all are enriched when we support and share with each other. This is the essence of our association and our connection as people.

Our father, Ray, was inducted into PPAI's Hall of Fame in its second class in 1978. The Geiger family, a group which includes all of our Associates and Sales Partners, is honored a second time this evening to received this recognition on behalf of our father's father just following PPAI's Centennial year--and our company's 125th year in business.

We do things today that the pioneers of flight and the pioneers of promotion could never imagine. Yet, every day we continue to strive to live up to their enduring commitments of vision and leadership.

Thank you PPAI.
